The webinar, which will discuss science and conflict – from the perspective of woman scientists will feature speakers from high-profile, international experts. Speakers are Imee Su Martinez, member of Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapon’s (OPCW) Scientific Advisory Board, Sara Stubbs, from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and Annette Lykknes, chair of the Working Party on History of Chemistry of EuChemS.

The event will be hosted by EuChemS’ President-Elect and Chair of the EuChemS Task Group on Inclusion and Diversity Angela Agostiano, and EuChemS President Floris Rutjes. During the event, speakers will address questions from the audience. This discussion will be moderated by former EuChemS President Pilar Goya.

This event will mark EuChemS’ 3rd participation in IUPAC’s Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) initiative. In 2022, our international speakers examined the issue of the “leaky pipeline” amongst women in STEM, and in 2021, EuChemS focused on Leadership Development and women leaders amongst other topics.
