This first in-person meeting in several years was also the first occasion for the newly elected members, who began their terms with the start of 2023, to meet with their colleagues in this capacity.

During the meeting, the Executive Board discussed a wide range of strategic topics, including, but not limited to policy-related achievements as well as outreach and events. With regards to policy initiatives, EuChemS’ participation in Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), as well as its role as invited stakeholder in expert groups, such as the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform and the High Level Roundtable on the implementation of the Chemicals Strategy was discussed. The upcoming event in the series of element-related webinars, about the element of phosphorus, scheduled to be held in the European Parliament was also amongst the topics, as well as the 9th EuChemS Chemistry Congress, to be held in Dublin in 2024.

EuChemS expresses gratitude for the Association of Greek Chemists for hosting this fruitful Executive Board meeting.
