EuChemS Secretary General Nineta Hrastelj is a member of PARC’s International Board of experts (IB), in which capacity she attended the Consortium meeting. The event was held in Tirol, Austria, at the premises of UMIT Tirol. PARC’s IB consists of scientific experts with experiences in international platforms and organisations related to chemistry and/or with EU institutions. Their contributions include, but are not limited to science-policy dialogues, open science and novel chemical risk assessment approaches. In PARC’s governance structure, the IB is featured as an advisory body to the management and executive arms of the organisation. At the Tirol meeting, the IB emphasized the importance of having a comprehensive set of tasks in advance of future meetings.

Alongside the meeting of the International Board, the Management Board, the Governing Board and the Stakeholder Forum amongst others also met and discussed priorities related to chemicals assessment and scientific developments at this large scale event, which also included a poster session.

PARC is an international initiative, founded in 2022, under the aegis of Horizon Europe. It’s key aim is developing cutting-edge chemical risk assessment methods.
