The ENRIO 2025 Congress took place from 22 to 24 September 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, bringing together experts, practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of research integrity (RI) from across Europe. Organised by the European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) in collaboration with the University of Ljubljana, the Congress continued the biennial series dedicated to promoting responsible research practices and sustainable implementation of RI policies.
The event focused on critical issues surrounding research integrity, including power dynamics in academic institutions and the role of organizational culture in fostering safe, open, and inclusive research environments. A key theme was the broader recognition of fairness, equity, and diversity as essential components of responsible research.
The Congress attracted a wide audience, including RI officers, ethics committee members, research funding representatives, and other stakeholders committed to enhancing research integrity in practice. Sessions addressed emerging challenges, practical solutions, and case studies aimed at improving awareness and prevention strategies within research institutions. Participants also explored contemporary topics such as responsible use of AI in research, open science practices, and ethical considerations in collaborative and international projects. By participating to the ENRIO 2025 Congress, EuChemS engaged with experts and practitioners to discuss developments in research integrity and share perspectives on fostering responsible research culture across Europe.
