The new EuChemS Industry Innovation Award will honour outstanding achievements by researchers or teams of researchers working for industrial companies in the field of chemistry, or jointly by research teams from academia and/or from other research institutions. It aims to highlight the importance of collaboration and good chemistry between industry and research.
Works, innovations and inventions, which were primarily created in Europe can be nominated, and self-nominations are also encouraged. The nominee, or, in case a team is nominated, at least one applicant in the team must be a member of an EuChemS Member society.
More details on this new award, including the nomination guidelines, can be found here. Once the call for application is open, you will also find the nomination information here – so keep an eye out.
Fostering European academia-industry relations is an important part of EuChemS’ strategy. The launch of the EuChemS Industry Innovation Awards is part of these efforts which also led to the appointment of two industry researchers to the EuChemS Executive Board, amongst other actions.
