The 4th Employment Survey for European Chemists is now officially open, providing an opportunity for chemists and chemical engineers across Europe to share their insights on the current employment landscape.

This survey, organised by the European Chemical Society (EuChemS) in partnership with the European Young Chemists’ Network (EYCN) and supported by Chemistry Europe, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and the American Chemical Society (ACS), aims to assess key trends, challenges, and opportunities within the chemistry job market.

Understanding the chemistry job market

The goal of the survey is to collect comprehensive data that will help better understand the evolving job market for chemists in Europe. By gathering information directly from professionals in the field, the survey will provide insights into the factors influencing career decisions and the challenges faced by individuals working in chemistry and chemical engineering.

The information gathered will offer an accurate picture of the current employment environment and will be essential for identifying areas where additional support and resources may be needed.

Survey details and participation

The survey is open from 1 April to 20 June 2025, and EuChemS encourages all individuals working within the chemistry sector to participate.
