On 9 September, the calls for nominations for a number of prestigious awards by EuChemS were opened. The calls are open until 9 December 2024.
The EuChemS Gold Medal is given to one scientist with exceptional achievements working in the field of chemistry in Europe every two years. The brand new EuChemS Industry Innovation Award honours outstanding achievements by researchers or teams of researchers working for industrial companies in the field of chemistry, or jointly by research teams from academia and/or from other research institutions. In addition to nominees, we are also looking for jury members for this award, to be part of the International Award Committee for the EuChemS Industry Innovation Award (IACIIA). The EuChemS Lecture Award is a yearly recognition given to a junior scientist working in chemistry in a country with a EuChemS Member Organisation. The EuChemS Awards for Service is presented in recognition of outstanding commitment with regard to fostering chemistry sciences in Europe, and the goals of EuChemS. Last, but not least, the EuChemS Historical Landmark Award aims to emphasize that chemistry is an integral part of the Cultural Heritage of Europe.
Numerous EuChemS awards are presented at the EuChemS Chemistry Congresses – you can take a look at the most recent awardees in this article.
We are looking forward to receiving all the excellent nominations, until the 9 December 2024 deadline – and we can’t wait to see the recipients at the 2026 ECC10 in Antwerp, Belgium.
