The European Chemical Society (EuChemS) is marking significant milestones as it continues to strengthen its European presence in the field of chemistry. As of January 2025, the society now counts 50 Member Organisations across Europe, reflecting the broad support it receives from national chemical organisations.

EuChemS now represents more than 130,000 chemists, showcasing a dynamic community of researchers and experts dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation. This network of professionals spans a wide range of disciplines, from physical, analytical and organic chemistry to green, sustainable, and energy chemistry, all contributing to EuChemS’s mission to promote chemistry as a central science in solving global challenges.

Since 2015, EuChemS has organised over 320 events, including conferences, workshops, and seminars. These events are essential in fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional development among chemists, driving forward conversations on critical issues.

In 2024, EuChemS introduced the Industry Innovation Award, further highlighting the importance of collaboration between the scientific community and industry in driving innovation for a sustainable future.

EuChemS is also proud to announce that in January 2025, the Society of Physical Chemists of Serbia and the Chemical Society of the Republic of Moldova have joined as new Member Societies, expanding the organisation’s reach to 36 represented countries. This growth follows the 2024 EuChemS Annual Meetings held in Berlin, where the societies officially joined the EuChemS community.
