EuChemS is proud to announce Dr Magnus J. Johansson of AstraZeneca Gothenburg as the 2024 Industry Innovation Awardee, recognised for his pioneering contributions to precision catalysis, sustainable medicinal chemistry, and green-chemistry integration in drug discovery.

The 2025 EuChemS General Assembly in Poznań elected Wolfram Koch as President-Elect, re-elected Hans Peter Lüthi as Treasurer, and welcomed three new Executive Board members: Gianluca Maria Farinola, Sonsoles Martín-Santamaría, and Gill Reid. Their mandates will begin in January 2026, strengthening EuChemS’ leadership for the years ahead.

On 5 October 2025, the JRC Geel site welcomed the public for its Open Day, offering hands-on science activities, tours of research laboratories, and insights into how EU policies are informed by scientific evidence.
