The theme of this years IUPAC CHAINS, set to be held from 20 to 25 August, is Connecting Chemical Worlds. It is being organised by the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO). The organising committee, chaired by EuChemS President Floris Rutjes promises an event that will connect the versatile discipline within chemistry, as well as academia and industry, with participation from a global audience. CHAINS2023 will overlap with the 52nd IUPAC General Assembly (18-25 August 2023) and the 49th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress.

The European Chemical Society is amongst the sponsors of the event. As a sponsor, EuChemS will set up a booth at the event venue, World Forum The Hague. At our booth, – similarly to the booth featured at ECC8 – visitors will be able learn about EuChemS, meet members of the secretariat and participate in events related to European chemistry and science-policy. In addition, a dedicated page on EuChemS is also featured on the event’s website.
